Because of you, hundreds of children, teens, young adults, and their parents/caregivers receive grief support through Good Grief of Northwest Ohio's peer-based support groups at our Reynolds Road location and our school-based programming.
All at no cost for kids and families!
With your support, we were able to:
- Establish a young adult group for people 18 and older, providing a much-needed space to share their experiences and support each other.
- Share information about our programs and practical ways to support grieving young people with over 50 schools, church and civic groups, and mental health providers.
- Provide three hundred children, teens, and over 60 parents/caregivers no-cost grief support.
- Support hundreds of people throughout NW Ohio with information, resources, activities, and more.
- Add a wrap-around mural to our family gathering area, creating a comforting and inspiring environment for our community. See our mural!
- Offer summer gatherings at Good Grief and in the community.
- Present Dr. Tashel Bordere's program – Suffocated Grief and Culturally Resonant Responses for Bereaved Homicide Survivors.
While we are proud of all that we have accomplished this year, we know there is so much more to do because one in ten kids in Ohio will experience the death of a parent or sibling by the time they are 18.
Your contribution, regardless of its size, plays a crucial role in our mission of providing childhood bereavement support. It's not just a donation; it's life-changing support for grieving kids and enables us to provide a safe and welcoming space for young people to find connection and healing.
Thank you on behalf of all of us at Good Grief of NW Ohio, especially the children we serve.
