There have been so many changes to our world since mid-March! We miss seeing the kids and volunteers in our program space but are grateful for the technology that makes it possible for us to stay connected, even when we need to be physically apart from one another.
We know that grieving children, teens, and adults are all too familiar with adjusting to difficult situations and trying to create a sense of normalcy – when nothing is normal. So, we have cautiously and thoughtfully considered our “next way” to live out our mission.
After much consultation and consideration, and for the health, safety, and comfort of our participants, volunteers, and staff we feel it is best that all Good Grief’s programming remains virtual for the rest of 2020. We will monitor what is happening in our community and recommendations from state and local health departments as we go through the next few months, and will resume in-person gatherings as soon as it is safe to do so.
We don’t have the answers to healing the world of sickness and strife, but we do know how to hold a safe space for children who are experiencing difficult feelings.
We are so grateful for each one of our supporters! It is because of you that we can continue to support grieving children, teens, and their caregivers during these complicated times, and assure that Good Grief will be here long after the pandemic is over.
