Good Grief of Northwest Ohio is a children's grief program dedicated to working with children and teens who have lost a sibling, parent, grandparent or friend. Through age-appropriate programming and peer-to-peer support groups, Good Grief allows children to process their loss through interactive activities.  Good Grief of NWO is following the lead of 150 similar grief organizations across the country in providing ongoing support for as long as its needed.

About Children and Grief ~

By the time they graduate from high school, one in 20 children will have a parent die—and that number doesn't include those who experience the death of a brother or sister, a close grandparent, aunt or uncle, or friend.

Children who have had someone die can feel the loss forever. They eventually go back to school. They might pick back up some activities. They certainly look "normal." And yet there's still a hole inside.

You can help us make them not feel so alone. Every school and every community has children who have experienced some type of loss. Even if they keep their loss and experience to themselves, there are many children who are grieving among us.

CHILDREN GRIEVE DIFFERENTLY THAN ADULTS; THEY LACK THE TOOLS NECESSARY TO HEAL.
We want to give them those tools.

Good Grief of Northwest Ohio relies on the generosity of donors allowing us to provide services to grieving families at no cost. Please join us in our mission by making a contribution, today!
